A mile in my shoes. The Tread+Miller V&A Experience.

Recently I was the recipient of outstandingly excellent service at Tread+Miller’s Cavendish Store, buying birthday treats for myself courtesy of my Forældres, so I was excited to be invited to preview their latest store to open at the V&A Waterfront.

For those not in the know, and I doubt there are any South African men with style who don’t know about Cape Union Mart’s new urban footwear store Tread + Miller and how it is bringing an engaging and interactive experience to the shopper who seeks a range of quality, gentleman’s club type standards, where they can expect a combination of old-world touches with a new age appeal.

‘We wanted to create a sophisticated experience with a modern twist,’ said Candy Swart, marketing manager at Cape Union Mart at the launch a few months ago. ‘A refined and relaxed shopping environment where the décor relies on leather ottomans and wooden finishes.’

In addition to shoes, the brand also offers a range of South African made belts and socks and an array of other accessories such as bags and wallets with an added benefit of being able to shop all items online.

The new store is definitely a danger to my financial health with a wide range of ‘must have’s and ‘have to have’s amongst other the quality leather items offered at Tread + Miller. So if you think you deserve a little treat, head down to any one of the Tread+Miller stores but be warned: you may have to eat crackers and pilchards for the month because they don’t play when it comes to lust-worthiness.
